Our Technical Infrastructure

Our data lines are the best-connected hosting facilities in the world.
The data center is located in Dallas, Texas and is specifically designed for dedicated server hosting. The network equipment and backbone connections ensure that we can get the fastest access possible to our content and applications. We have access to multiple network connections and to different Internet backbones, allowing data to be distributed though many sources—which means we are not dependent upon any single Internet backbone.

The Network Infrastructure . The network architecture utilizes the Enterprise routing and switching engines from Juniper and Cisco. It utilize Juniper M20 routers as border routers, Cisco 6500 series switches in the distribution layer, Cisco 6500 and 5500 switches in the aggregation layers, and Cisco 3500 and 2900 series switches at the customer layer. The network is fully meshed and redundant with eight backbone providers. The current network consists of UUNet (GigE), Sprint (GigE), Level 3 (GigE), Global Crossing (GigE), Verio (GigE), Time Warner (GigE), Allegiance Telecom (2 x GigE), and AboveNet (2 x GigE).

Data center with complete redundancy of power, security and systems.
This includes Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) fire suppression, network connectivity, and security. We enjoy access to private caged suites, cabinets, half-cabinets, tri-cabinets, and rackspace by the Unit. The data center facility sits atop multiple power grids driven by TXU electric, with PowerWare UPS battery backup power and dual power generators onsite. The HVAC systems are a combination of glycol, chilled water, and condenser units by Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with 8 managed backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with over 600 smoke detectors. The data center features keycard locks on all paths to sensitive areas, as well as motion-sensitive closed-circuit cameras throughout the premises. All visitors to the data center must check in and out of the facility at the front desk with a government-issued photo ID.
